It has been a while since we had the chance to bring you the latest pictures from MRket - the number one menswear tradeshow in the US. Today we are in Las Vegas covering the show and I would like to start off with a series of people shots with a focus on the variety and color in shoes. Later today and tomorrow, I will also highlight upcoming products and trends as seen at MRket Las Vegas.
Interesting combination of three shirts with a classic anchor tatoo – overall a cool look from Jahn of Brooklyn Dry Goods.
I liked the look of this dark brown winter plaid that reminds me a bit of the patterns that dominated the late fifties and sixties.
This outfit is all about the hair style and the bow tie – very unique.
You won’t spot many bespoke jacket of neapolitan provenance at MRket but this is a coat by Chiaia Napoli and the tie by Dolcepunta.
Probably the greatest suit fabric I have seen all day – a strong mid blue with a light blue windowpane. It is definitely on the loud side, but nevertheless I think it looks outstanding.
Camouflage is omnipresent and Michael Macko pulls of a camo wool bow tie with a flannel texture and a matching jacket.
Usually, I am not a fan of monochromatic looks but the bow tie and pocket square help to break up the monotony.
Orange and green are bright on their own – here they are combined with a multicolor belt.
Another great piece of fabric that has a true vintage look – I am glad to see we are seeing more and more unusual patterns and not just plain ole’ navy and charcoal.
A short overcoat in navy can look elegant yet anything but dated – well done.
Right from the get go, I noticed numerous colorful shoes and so I though I dive in and show you a few detail shots of various shoes as worn during the MRket Las Vegas show 2013.
Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot in tan with blue denim – a classic look that is worn by many.
Even though this is anything but classic, I wanted to point out the color harmony of red and green – the complementary colors work well together.
Birkenstock clogs are back.
Fantastic shade of dark blue suede shoe with grey dotted socks and white soles – unique & expressive.
It seems like spats are making some kind of come back. Of course, we will never see as many spats as in the twenties again, though there are a few dandies out there who seem to enjoy them.
Teal pants are underrated for men.
Classic black bit loafers with jeans.
Great combination of color.
Unique but great to create a more casual look.
Strong suede color.
Colored shoes laces are en vogue at the moment.
What shoes are your favorite and what shoe trend would you like to see growing in the future?
