Noteworthy: Drakes London Store Opening – E.B. Meyrowitz Website – Maxminimus

It is, once again, time for our noteworthy news, bits and blogs. Today, we want to share the Drakes London store opening, E.B. Meyrowitz and an interesting blog.

Drakes London Store Opening No. 3 Clifford Street

When I spoke with Michael Drake, the founder of Drake’s London about a month ago, he told me that their first store will open at the end of May. Now it seems they plan to open on Saturday, May 21st. The store is prominently situated at No. 3 Clifford Street, which is just around the corner from Savile Row.

Modeled after the legendary Bowring Arundel & Co. from 31 Savile Row, Drakes aspires to become the Row’s primary haberdasher by providing essentially anything aside from trousers, coats and suits.

An exquisite landmark building in the heart of Mayfair will be the home of the store. As far as I know, it will be equipped with wooden floors, a fire place, Harris Tweed-covered armchairs, and cabinetry from the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as the Natural History Museum.

We are delighted to see that Drake’s decided to open their own shop, and look forward to writing about some of their ties in the near future.

E.B. Meyrowitz London – With New Website.

Just recently, one of our readers informed us that the optician, E.B. Meyrowitz, launched a new website. The site itself is rather simple and provides all the basic information as well as a few beautiful pictures.

Moreover, our reader was so kind to send us a picture of his latest acquisition from E.B. Meyrowitz – a beautiful acetate frame with bayonet temples. It is always a pleasure to receive emails from our patrons, so if you have a question or any information that might be of interest to us, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you, or better yet – reading from you!
