Eb J. Daniels has worked at the Gentleman’s Gazette since 2020. A senior writer, his primary duties include composing scripts for new video content and updating our extensive library of articles on all aspects of Classic Menswear. He also undertakes various special projects, including email campaigns and new product launch information and descriptions.

Before joining the Gentleman’s Gazette, Eb was an amateur historian and freelance writer, with an emphasis on script and prompt writing for historical interpretation, for about six years.

Eb has been interested in Classic Style since his late grandmother bought him his first suit when he was 12 years old. She was also instrumental in fostering his love of Italy, especially the city of Venice, which has given his personal style a distinctively Continental flavor. Holding degrees in history from Emory University and the University of Toronto, Eb specializes in historical content at the Gentleman’s Gazette and also has particular competencies in formal day and evening attire, fragrances, and Italian contributions to Classic Menswear.

“Style is vital. It is life-enhancing and, like everything else that gives pleasure, is worth doing well.”

Gabriele d’ Annunzio

When he is not writing about Classic Style, Eb enjoys the literary works of William Faulkner and Gabriele d’Annuzio, the films of Michelangelo Antonioni and Luchino Visconti, and classic opera, especially Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner. Eb lives in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with his wife, Sarah, and when they are not gallivanting around their home state, they are floating down the canals of Venice in a gondola.
