President

Headshot of a woman

Teresa has worked for The Gentleman’s Gazette since Day 1 in January of 2010. She and Raphael, her husband, both aspired to run a business together, and to this day, they share a 50-50 partnership. Her official title is president of the company, but her duties go even further: she, directly and indirectly, manages the entire Gentleman’s Gazette team, oversees the project management platform, handles hiring, undertakes event planning, coordinates EOS implementation, sets and executes strategies – the list goes on! To put it frankly, if something needs to “Get Done,” Teresa is either doing it or helping it get done! For her and Raphael, the Gentleman’s Gazette is truly their life’s work.

In fact, except for video editing, Teresa has, at one time or another, undertaken every job at The Gentleman’s Gazette. Until 2017, she was behind the camera, and from 2015 to 2018, she wrote many of the Gentleman’s Gazette articles under Raphael’s name; similarly, Teresa has authored dozens of scripts. Her more recent accomplishments include implementing our new project management software and planning the inaugural Belvedere Bash.

Teresa holds an MBA and has benefited from 13 years of listening to and engaging with classic menswear enthusiasts. In the early days of the Gentleman’s Gazette, she supported herself and Raphael by working a conventional job in corporate marketing communications. She joined the Gentleman’s Gazette full-time in 2015, and surprisingly enough, she has returned to leading product launches, which was precisely what she did in the corporate world.

Teresa’s personal style always tended towards the more formal, and her interest in Classic Style grew after she began dating Raphael. Since then, her knowledge and interest in the subject have only grown, and while she doesn’t claim to possess Raphael’s expertise, she can certainly hold her own when it comes to Classic Style, and she can certainly appreciate any classic look.

Teresa resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, her home state, with Raphael and their daughter, who is the light of their lives, even if it often feels like the Gentleman’s Gazette itself is their “first child.” She is glad that she can live and work in Minneapolis, with its four beautiful seasons (Yes, she loves the winter, too!), a great restaurant scene, and a high-quality lifestyle for her and her family’s needs. When she’s not working, Teresa is a passionate world traveler and home cook.

Favorite Gentleman’s Gazette ContentWhile Teresa is proud of all of the Gazette’s content, she is especially partial to What It Means to be a Gentleman Today, a piece that she wrote. We use “Always a Gentleman” as a core value within our business, so while we’re not perfect, it’s a concept that really hits at who we aspire to be as people and as a business.
AspirationIt’s no coincidence that many items on Teresa’s personal bucket list appear in our content on the subject! Having just ticked off “hosting a Black Tie event” with The Belvedere Bash, Teresa is looking forward to someday having a bespoke tuxedo of her own, eating in a Michelin-starred restaurant, attending a cooking school for the fun of it, and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
