Senior Content Manager
Jack is a senior content manager who has been working with The Gentleman’s Gazette since September of 2020. In this capacity, he wears a number of hats: researching and writing for video scripts and articles, reviewing videos before final publication on YouTube, and he is in charge of the various Gentleman’s Gazette social media feeds including Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, and the YouTube community page.
In addition to regular content creation and moderation, Jack has occasionally employed his graphic design skills to design products or create unique images: for instance, he crafted the limited-edition logo utilized for The Belvedere Bash.
Before joining The Gentleman’s Gazette, Jack worked in a luxury department store that imparted to him a special awareness of how to match up the best possible products with the best clients. He is also an active member of The Sartorial Club and has contributed written work to both its website and newsletter. During the Club’s 2023 world tour, he was a co-host for the London edition.
Similar to Preston, Jack can trace his first interest in classic style to a love of comic books. Being subjected to the dapperly dressed Batman rogues gallery from a young age has likely had a subconscious impact on his love of classic style! Otherwise, he is also a big film fan who is intrigued by how clothing and costume helps inform characters on screen. In a similar vein, from his school days onward, Jack has performed on stage on numerous occasions, which, alongside his artistic training, has given him a mixture of passion and an eye for detail. This dramatic and aesthetic exposure has offered him the perfect grounding for many aspects of his work with The Gentleman’s Gazette.
Drawing from his background in retail, Jack is particularly value-driven when discussing menswear and places a strong emphasis on genuine value and assessment of quality. Jack sympathizes with those who need to invest in menswear wisely, as much of his journey into Classic Style has been largely without a huge capital to expend on clothing. Jack’s content production also leans heavily into challenging the status quo of traditional menswear, delving into “controversial” topics such as mixing tailoring and denim or how a pair of smart sneakers are arguably a part of classic style.
Jack currently resides in the county of Norfolk in the United Kingdom with his partner and their two cats. He has worn glasses since he was a small child, and he considers them a part of his personal style and his personality. Like Raphael, he is an amateur mixologist and, while wearing his glasses, receives empty glasses back, along with hearty compliments, from his friends and family. What Jack does not wear is athletic clothing: in fact, he doesn’t even own them!
