From The Gentleman’s Gazette

Raphael Schneider
Raphael is the founder, and for many he remains the face, of The Gentleman’s Gazette. What began as a humble menswear blog has blossomed in ways that Raphael could never imagine, and getting to meet fellow sartorial enthusiasts over delicious food is always a highlight in his calendar.

Jack Collins
An English native living in the UK, Jack has been applying his sartorial knowledge and passion as part of the team since 2020. Over the years, his responsibilities have grown and he now plays a critical role in many creative areas of The Gentleman’s Gazette. As the head of our social media channels, you’ve likely interacted with Jack before through his growing social media profile.

Chris Dummer
As the lead photo and video producer at The Gentleman’s Gazette, Chris is invaluable to the overall aesthetic of the channel. Keenly developing his thrifting skills, Chris’ classic wardrobe is closely rivalling many of the on-camera team’s! Whether in-person or through the lens of a camera, his eye for detail is second to none.
Our Sartorial Friends

James Lawley (Gent Z)
Leaning into his generation’s newfound appreciation of traditional style, James gladly eschews casual in favor of classic. With a background in journalism, James created his own channel, Gent Z, to discuss classic style from a youthful perspective, encouraging others to consider the benefits of being well-dressed.

Ash Jones (Chap's Guide)
With a career including military service and experience in law-enforcement, Ash is no stranger to the world of being smartly attired. Keen to demonstrate the attainability of better living through mindset, style, and grooming, his journey on the Chap’s Guide to life is indeed a noble one.

You
Will YOU be one of the attendees at the table? We look forward to meeting you in person and sharing an evening of style over a delicious meal!
What You Can Expect
To many, London, England is the home of a great many facets of Classic Style. There’s Jermyn Street, famous for its myriad of shirtmakers. Or maybe you prefer the Gentleman’s Clubs of St. James? And who could forget Savile Row, arguably the holy grail of bespoke tailoring locations? This September, London receives an extra dose of sartorial energy as The Gentleman’s Gazette comes to town.

The Venue
While England is home to many great cuisines from all over the world, there is perhaps nothing more soulful than a traditional pub. The Lore of the Land elevates hearty meals into culinary artistry, with an unparalleled focus on fresh, local ingredients. Owned by the movie director, Guy Richie, the venue was also used in his 2019 film “The Gentlemen”. We’ll happily add the “Gazette” when we arrive!
The Dress Code: “Quintessentially British”
Modern-day London offers a wealth of possible dress codes, from the formality of Mayfair to the chic of So-Ho. With “no brown in town” being a thing of the past, we encourage you to put together an outfit you feel most encapsulates classic British style.

Perhaps you’ll pair a traditional blazer with a sumptuous silk ascot, or maybe you’ll pick a flannel suit and a polka dot tie? If the weather calls for it, why not consider tweed and brogues? Whatever you choose, make this an occasion to indulge in your finest British fare.

Be in a Video*
Instead of jumping straight into dinner, we want to take the time to get to know you and enjoy everyone’s company. What better ice-breaker than a chance to be featured in a Gentleman’s Gazette video?! All ticket holders will be invited to meet at the nearby Fitzroy Square Gardens prior to dinner for a short filmed interview and outfit exploration, immortalizing your stylish attendance at the event.
* Weather permitting.
Exquisite English Dining

A modern menu with roots in traditional English cuisine is the Lore of the Land’s specialty. With a three-course meal focusing on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, we look forward to providing you with your menus closer to the time in order to make your selections. And we certainly haven’t forgotten about libations! A welcome cocktail (or mocktail) will be served on our arrival into our private dining space, with an additional mixed drink, wine, and non-alcoholic options included in your ticket.

Going to Goodwood?
As our event takes place on the first night of the legendary Goodwood Revival weekend, we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to kickstart the festivities. We’ll be at Goodwood on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, too, so we look forward to seeing you there as well!

No, as we have planned the evening to be an intimate, rich, and fulfilling experience, your ticket price has been tailored to ensure the most enjoyable event.
Do I have to pay for my own travel expenses?
Yes, central London provides so many travel options that it would be impossible for us to plan for every attendee. Of course, this is also a positive, as it means you have multiple avenues of travel to the event.

Otherwise, the nearest Underground Tube stations are as follows:
Warren Street, serving the Northern and Victoria Lines (6-minute walk)
Goodge Street, serving the Northern Line (8-minute walk)
Great Portland Street, serving the Circle, Metropolitan, and Hammersmith & City Lines (9-minute walk)
Can I bring a companion?

Or, perhaps you just want to make sure you’ll know one person at the event! Purchasing a second ticket ensures you’ll both have a seat at the table. As this is a private event with ticketed entry, all attendees must be able to prove they have purchased a ticket before dinner begins.
Did you offer refunds for this event?
While we don’t offer refunds, you are able to purchase Event Purchase Protection through our ticketing client, TicketSpice, and Purchase Protection LLC.
What kinds of food will be served at the event?
The menus at the Lore of the Land change with seasonal produce, as fresh and local ingredients lie at the core of their menus. While they are famed for their impressive selection of meat-based, traditional-with-a-twist English fare, their offerings certainly include delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes, too.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
While purchasing a ticket, please make note of any food allergies or limitations in the designated section, so we can accommodate you.
Is alcohol served at the dinner?
Yes, it will be. We encourage all of our attendees to drink responsibly while enjoying two cocktails and a choice of red or white wine with dinner.
Are drinks included in the ticket price?
A welcome cocktail with a further cocktail of your choice, red, and white wine are included in your ticket price. Non-alcoholic beverages including specially created mocktails are available if you wish to forego alcoholic beverages.
If I don’t drink, can I get a reduced price on my ticket?
No, but we will have access to a private bar where a vast array of delicious non-alcoholic drinks, including mocktails, can be enjoyed.
Is the venue disability accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the very old nature of the restaurant building, the private dining space is located up two flights of stairs.
Can I smoke or vape at the event?
