Modern Rings Similar to Authority Rings

What if rings get
Too Close?
Some gentlemen find that wearing rings on fingers that touch each other, such as the ring finger and the pinky finger or the middle finger and the index finger, can be unpleasant. The metals can clank against each or rub together, producing an annoying noise or disagreeable sensation. To avoid this, you can stack your rings or spread them out over your two hands. Oftentimes, this will also produce a more visually pleasing distribution of your rings.
How to Mix and Match Metals

Outfit Rundown
Raphael intentionally built this ensemble around the blue stone in a rose-gold setting that he is wearing on the pinky finger of his right hand. Perhaps he wants to emphasize his personal achievements? His cufflinks are a classic monkey’s fist design from Fort Belvedere in rose gold to match, as is his belt buckle.

I wear my platinum plain wedding band on my left ring finger and I recently had made in platinum, an art deco inspired octagonal setting with a tanzanite stone bottom right and art deco sun Ray’s eminating from it. I wear this on my right pinky. It was to mark a life milestone.

As a UK native, I don’t really see this stereotype that frequently anymore. If someone inherited a ring that only fit the pinky of the right hand and wanted to wear it without changing the ring (through resizing it), I wouldn’t automatically assume anything about the wearer’s sexuality. If intrigued, it might be a great conversation starter: “What an interesting ring; tell me more about it?”
Rings are very personal. I have a small collection of some contemporary and antique rings. Rings, cufflinks, and stickpins are about all the jewellery a man gets to own. I always wear my wedding band and a ring on my right hand. I try to match the metal of that ring with my cufflinks.

I wore my High School class ring on my right hand ring finger up thru my college years until graduated, then, swapped out with my colligate ring. I’ll wear a pinky ring along with the cufflinks on formal occasions usually wear on the left hand, so not to compete with the class ring on the right. I also, wear my military service branch ring instead of the class ring, which is similar in size, during military events and ceremonies. When I would wear multiple rings on the hand, I’ll wear my wrist watch on the opposite wrist, umm, going for the balance look, I suppose.
As far as college class rings are concerned, I wear mine on my right ring finger and wedding band on my left ring finger. I have always worn a yellow gold and diamond ring on my left ring finger and often wear a yellow gold and diamond ring on my right pinky. I’m Italian and pretty sure it’s a requirement. :-)
When my father proposed to my mother, and gave her an engagement ring, her parents gave him a ring with a Lindy star in it. It was a low-key setting in darkened silver, if I recall correctly, with a diamond chip on each side. Years later, when Dad was no longer wearing rings and I was a young man, we had it reset into bright gold with a few additional chips. It is now years later again, and I won’t wear that setting today but I am considering having it re-set again into something less flashy. Perhaps with a chip on each side?
I am a freemason, and in Norway we wear our freemason-ring on the middle fingre on our right hand. The ring has three lettere AS well as 3 x the Maltese cross. If you are married you would wear the wedding band right next to it (right hand ring finger.

In the UK, any ring on your Right pinky finger is an instant advertisement that you are Gay, so be careful…..it really is an instant giveaway.
