There are a handful of companies that produce these high-quality house shoes. Recently, I purchased a pair of made-to-measure slippers from Broadland in England. These handmade slippers come with a variety of options where you can take part in the design of your own pair. My first pair arrived slightly large, but I was able to send it back and have a new pair sent to me free of charge. In fact, they even had me measure my foot to ensure the slipper was crafted to exacting measurements. The best part is, they are very reasonably priced in comparison to many of the other top brands around the world. Duke & Digham Leopold Smoking Jacket – $249
The smoking jacket has long been a piece of loungewear beloved by gentlemen of style. So much so, that Fred Astaire was buried wearing his favorite one. Unfortunately, in recent years, it’s become next to impossible to find the quality a gentleman expects. Most of the jackets available today are Halloween costumes or knock-offs with pictures of the Playboy bunny logo on the breast. They are made from inferior materials and aren’t of the quality or craftsmanship we expect. Fortunately, there are still a few companies that make these treasured jackets. One such company is Duke & Digham, which makes an entire line of smoking jackets in both velvet and silk. Of course, you cannot expect the ultimate quality for $249, and it is of course made in China, but overall you get a lot of value for your money.
For the dapper dandy who smokes cigars, or just the gentleman who enjoys comfortable loungewear, this is a perfect pick this holiday season. Click here to get the same smoking jacket I often wear or here to get the purple one in the picture.

Fort Belvedere Peccary Gloves – $245
Gloves have been a gentleman’s accessory for centuries. Within the last few decades, the variety and elegance that once existed vanished in favor of plain black and brown gloves. During the heyday of classic menswear in the 1930s, no well-dressed man would have worn black gloves. Instead, beige, yellow, gray and brown gloves with button closures (often hand stitched) would have been the gloves of choice.
To counter such tristesse in the modern glove world, Fort Belvedere offers gloves that combine functional fit and comfort with the elegance of the bygone era. Choose from a small but outstanding series of peccary gloves with classic colors and details. Click here to get your own pair of gloves to get your own pair.
